All or Nothing

Yeah... that's me. I'm all or nothing, a good thing if I'm in. But, not so much if I'm not. There really is no in between and when it comes to dieting that's not good either.

My ankle is still jacked up. I'm starting to think there is a strong possibility it's broke. Due to a conversation with a friend PA and my symptoms. Since I don't have insurance I have been avoiding going to the doctor, trying to self medicate and treat. I've been keeping my ankle wrapped 24/7 since the fall only to unwrap to shower/change/etc. I ice and elevate every night and rest it as much as possible.

My food intake has been bad. VERY bad. Like I can careless bad. I see my middle quickly expanding. I can barely walk so most exercise is completely out of the question. I'm in a funk, I know. I'm an all or nothing person and right now, unfortunately, it's nothing.

  1. SARA!!! I am sooo glad you blogged. Don't give up!! Don't do "Nothing" btw... I am the same way!!!!!! You need to read Kelly @ Kelly Losing weight's blog.. she is on my blog roll. She has a post she just wrote a few days ago called "All about the Food", and it got me and Kimberlynn back into our eating right. Seriously, %90 of losing weight is your food.. you don't HAVE to work out to lose weight. If you tackle your food right now.. you can still see a loss each week! Read her post, it's about her friend that was injured and stuck to her eating firmly and lost every week. Please go to the doctor too. The longer you wait the longer it will be hurt. I am sure you are slightly annoyed by me telling you what to do right now in this comment! Sorry! But I love you and enjoy your blogs and you motivate me and others. Hang in there. xoxoxo

  2. Sara...I was just getting ready to say the exact same thing as Adrienne. A coincidence? I think not!!! You've got to go read Kelly's post because it is sooooo true!!! Listen, I know how discouraged you must be, but this DOES NOT mean you can't do what you are able to do. There is still plenty that fits that category...eating right, positive thinking, and learning what you're supposed to learn while you're in this place. Don't give up my friend. We're here for you cheering you on!!! We're wanting the best for you. You just have to want the same thing for youself!!! So pick yourself back up, get back on that horse, and keep going!!! Do you hear me? Don't make me come and hunt you down. LOL

  3. ((((Sara)))) I know you will get back on your feet soon. Don't lose hope sweetie! You have come so far and will continue your journey! Everyone needs a break every now and then, just don't make it a habit. I hope your ankle gets better asap. I can't believe you are still so hurt. I feel so bad for you. =( Stay strong!

  4. Thank you all for the support. I appreciate it. Adrienne and Kimberlynn - you're 100% right, I've always believed 90% of weight loss is diet. I haven't lost all hope. I'm just giving myself a bit of a break. It's the holidays, food is hard for everyone right now. I know that. I need to pray give this issue to God and let it all work it's self out. Pam - you're also 100% right, there is nothing wrong with a break, and needing to refocus. I'm sure I will continue my journey and this is only a bump in the road.

    The pain is more tolerable yesterday and today. It's going to take a while to heal, I know that. Even if it's not broke I'm sure it's a very bad sprain. I didn't get fat over taking a few weeks off for an injury, I trust that once I am healed if not sooner, I will be back on track.
