Here is my crummy update but I'm holding myself accountable:
*Lose the 30 lbs
UPDATE: Weigh in yesterday, 188 lbs. I'm seriously having bowel issues and retaining water. I can feel it in my whole body. I don't think it's real weight gain but it is reflecting on the scale.
* Fit into a size 8
UPDATE: One of my BFF's gave me a pair of banana republic size 6 slacks, I can get them on over my hips and butt but I can't button them yet. I'm willing to be that if they were an 8 I could squeeze into them.
* Increase my running mileage.
UPDATE: Injured my ankle running Sunday afternoon. I got in few good runs last week, including the trail/hills run that I fell on. Once I'm healed I will go back.
I will have to wait until this heals until I can attempt to run again. Instead, I am going to be working on my plank challenge and push ups while I have to be off of my foot. Then, I will move into cycling and back to running when ready.
My struggles, inspirations and journey to weightless or just weigh less and meet my health goals. All while dealing with the ups and downs of daily life and rediscovering my faith along the way. Ps 27:14 Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.

Hot 100 - Week 7
* Lose the 30 lbs
UPDATE: Weigh in yesterday, 187 lbs - 2 pounds heavier than last week. See the yo-yo affect.
* Fit into a size 8
UPDATE: Not there yet... but I'm getting smaller. I notice a lot of my jeans are feeling bigger.
* Increase my running mileage.
UPDATE: I ran several nights last week. Normally after a running event, we are sluggish to start back up running in routine. Zumara and I both feel like we need to incorporate more hills in our runs to prepare us for our half marathon. We are hoping to do so on the weekends.

* Lose the 30 lbs
UPDATE: Weigh in yesterday, 185 lbs! One pound less than last week but still falling short of the 30 lbs... I'm keeping my goal and just going to continue to work towards it. Day by day, week by week, choice by choice.
* Fit into a size 8
UPDATE: Not there yet... but I'm getting smaller.
* Increase my running mileage.
UPDATE: Completed my first mud run (10K) on 10/31. I've also ran several nights last week and will continue to work on this. I've abandoned some events I wanted to do but picked a new running goal. More to come about that...

Hot 100 Week 4
- Lose the 30 lbs
UPDATE: Weigh in today 189 lbs. - That is a 2lbs gain people! I'm hoping there was some inaccuracy in my scale or some other issue and it will dissappear the next time I weigh in BUT the truth of the matter is I ate poorly last week and didn't exercise much. :/
- Fit into a size 8
UPDATE: Not any closer than I was last week.
- Increase my running mileage.
Last weeks specific goals:
- Comp exam (still haven't started :X), - :X No progress and I just might have to forget about completing it this semester. I've got too much going on with the business.

Hot 100 Update Week 3
79 more days in 2010 and in the Hot 100. Here is where I stand in working towards my goals:
Goals to work on this week:
I know I have a crazy busy week. Yesterday, we randomly ended up in the bay area for the entire day. I didn't make it to the gym, which was fine because I was still very sore. Today I have bible study and softball stuff tonight. It's going to be a long day.
- Lose the 30 lbs
UPDATE: Weigh in today 187 lbs. I'm bloated no change on the scale today. I think the scale will change tomorrow, when the bloat is gone. I weighed less over the weekend.
- Fit into a size 8
UPDATE: Not yet, but getting closer. I will probably meet this goal near the end of the Hot 100.
- Increase my running mileage.

Hot 100 Week 2 Update
There are 86 more days left of 2010. 14 fewer days, than when I started the Hot 100.
Two weeks ago, I defined my hot 100 goals:
I'm satisfied with my progress thus far on my physical goals. I need to focus more time on my non-physical /personal goals. Especially my comprehensive exam for my MA.

Marathon Week
So last week, I said I wanted to increase my running mileage. And so I did. When I realied how far I ran this week, there was no way I couldn't run tonight. I wanted to make it to 26.2 miles. So tonight I ran 4.5 miles. Which means, I ran a whopping 26.5 miles this week! That is equivalent to running a full marathon (actually a tad more). I'm so proud of myself.
I really had a great weekend. This weekend Mariyn and I had originally planned to ride the Princess Promenade but it just wasn't in our budget to do so. Mariyn and I talked about it, she completly understood and even said, "Mom, I don't think I'm ready to ride that far anyways, maybe next year." She was so very sweet and understanding about the situation.

Earlier this summer, I had heard about a lavender farm, just outside of town. I wanted to take the girls on a bike ride there but Rich said, it was too dangerous because of traffic for the kids. Mariyn and I decided that instead of the bike ride, we would go to the lavender farm, which is only open to the public this weekend and won't be open again until December. It was gorgeous! And this wasn't even prime lavender season. The girls and I enjoyed lavender lemonade, lavender apple cider, lavender pumpkin cake (1 serving shared between 3 people) and the beautiful lavender plants. The atmosphere was so lovely and quaint. Perfect for a girls day outing. We even came home with our very own royal velvet lavender plant. On the way home, we stopped at Oakdale Cheese and had fresh grilled gouda cheese sandwiches. The kids enjoyed petting farm animals and we picniced by the pound. It really was a lovely afternoon.

After we came home, I took my girls on a bike ride through town. Mariyn and I rode 6.5 miles as I pulled Amelia in her trailer. We had a lot of fun exploring different neighborhoods. We even discovered a fun new park . The girls stopped for a while and played. I promised them we would come back. The had a great time. Some where along the ride, Amelia fell asleep in her trailer. When we got home, I noticed she was all curled up in a very deep slumber. So cute!
What a difference a week makes. This week, I am optomistic and full of hope. I really feel and see all that I have been blessed with. God is so good, all the time. :)

Accountability
Amelia still had a slight fever this morning, but I can tell this cold is on it's way out. She has more energy and after taking her medication has been off running around the house. As long as she is sick, I won't be able to make it to the gym during the day. I might try to go at night, once Richard is home or I will run again.
Since it's Tuesday, it's my weigh in day. I said that I was going to make sure I was accountable each week with my weigh ins. It's been since September 7th since I had an "official weigh in" at the gym. I have weighed myself a few times at home but not reported them as official. My scale at home is fairly close to the trainers scale but I fluctuate a lot in weight throughout the week. So I've always tried to only use the gym scale as official.
That's not going to stop me today though. Even though I'm not going to the gym this morning because Amelia is sick, I weighed in at home. 189.4 lbs! It's 3lbs less than my last official weigh in but a half a pound heavier than my last unofficial weigh in. Officially it means a loss of 69 lbs since last October. I'm happy with that. I'm hoping for a big loss next Tuesday, October 5th. It marks ONE YEAR since I've started my journey. I'm not where I thought I would be but I'm so much better off than where I was. Praise God for giving me the strength, determination and courage to stick with it for one year!

Hot 100
Hot 100
Here is the deal. Almost a year ago, I set out to lose 100lbs. I've lost 70 of those 100. Here we are, down to only 100 days left of 2010. Crazy, I know the year has just flown by. So, for the last 100 days of 2010, I am going to work on reaching my goal. It's a lot of weight to lose in 100 days, but I've lost 30lbs in 90 days before, so why not try it again. If I fail short, who cares, as long as if I'm losing, right?.
My goals for the Hot 100 are going to be 3 part:
I can fit into a size 10 now. I'd really like to see a single digit size by the end of the year. Of course anything smaller than a size 8 would be awesome, but unimaginable to me at this point.
Each week, I am going to hold myself accountable with my weekly weigh ins. I'm going to continue to exercise and get in more running time. I'm signing up for several local events including these:

Goals
I got to thinking about goals. I've lost a lot of weight and met a lot of my goals. But there are some I haven't met. I do so much better when I'm working towards something. During the weight loss challenge at the gym, I lost 30 lbs in 90 days. I've worked towards running a mile, a 5K, and completing a triathlon. I've lost about 70lbs of the 100 I set out to lose last October.
At the beginning of the year, I said I was going to try new things at the gym and step out of my comfort zone and I did! I started running, I used machines I thought only "fit" people could use, and I tried new classes, like spin.
I came across the 100 day challenge, on one of my readers blogs -- Thanks Sharon. I think I'm going to take the challenge. It starts tomorrow and goes to the end of the year. Just might be what I need right now. I have to look into it more! :D
So, now comes the time when I pick my next goal. My next task to work towards to keep me on track for my bigger goal, lossing this weight. I wondered over to active.com and found so many things I want to do. If only money wasn't an issue . . .
These are the things I would like to do in the coming months.
October
10/2 Princess Promenade Ride w/ Mariyn
10/9 Riverbank Wine and Cheese Run 5K & 10K
10/31 Mud Run
November
11/7 Duathon 5K Run, 30K bike, 2.5 K run in Knights Ferry
11/28 10K Holiday Run Copperopolis
In the Spring, I promised my daughter Mariyn that if she got good at riding her bike we could do an event. Princess promenade is an all women's cycling event in the Sacramento area. It's geared towards mothers and daughters of all ages and benefits domestic violence and women's issues. Well, the kid can ride so it's time for me to hold up my end of the bargin. Plus, I love that she likes to do activities. She just might turn out to be an athlete ;-)
I'd like to do a few more triathlons and a half marathon but I know the weather won't be cooperating much longer this year. It's not even officially fall and I'm looking forward to Spring already and all the racing that comes along with it.
